wir wollen gar nicht viele Worte verlieren, alles Wichtige steht unten im Newsletter. Aber dies sei gesagt: kreuzt euch den 26.Juni (Mittwoch) schon einmal im Kalender an. An diesem Tag ist eine außerordentliche Personalversammlung zum Thema Befristung geplant. In diesem Rahmen rufen wir zum ENTFRISTUNGSENTSCHEID auf. Kommt also zahlreich!

Am 26.Juni, 8-10 Uhr, Hörsaal 4 (Campus Center, HoPla)
Nach den Personalversammlungen im Dezember 2018 und März 2019 wird das Befristungsproblem an unserer Universität auch durch die Hochschulleitung anerkannt. Doch wie kann es gelöst werden?
Beim ENTFRISTUNGSENTSCHEID im Rahmen der geplanten außerordentlichen Personalversammlung am 26.06.2019 wollen wir als Beschäftigte über konkrete Maßnahmen für die umfassende Entfristung von Stellen an der Universität Kassel abstimmen (den gesamten Maßnahmenkatalog gibt es hier als pdf).
Statt einer unkonkreten, freiwilligen Leitlinie, fordern wir eine verbindliche Regelung für die umfassende Entfristung des wissenschaftlichen, künstlerischen und technisch-administrativen Personals an der Universität Kassel.

Wir wollen im Vorfeld des Entfristungsentscheids mit euch ins Gespräch kommen über den Maßnahmenkatalog und unsere Vorschläge. Dafür kommen wir in kurzen, knackigen Infotreffen zu euch. Alle Termine dieser ca. 30-60 Minuten dauernden Veranstaltungen findet ihr auf unserem Blog. Wenn euer Fachbereich oder eure Abteilung fehlt, dann schreibt uns gerne!
6.Juni, UU auf dem Campusfest: Eine Partie Fristfußball!
Natürlich feiern auch wir mit, wenn die Uni zum Campusfest ruft, aber auf unsere Weise. Am 6.Juni werden wir zwischen 16 und 17 Uhr zwischen dem Café desASta und Campus Center ein Fristfußballturnier veranstalten. Ihr seid alle sehr herzlich eingeladen euch unter den erschwerten Bedingungen des harten Wettbewerbs auf dem Feld zu beweisen: Kaum drin, seid ihr auch schon wieder draußen und wechselt eure Position mit der schon bereitstehenden Person. Niemand da, der kurzfristig den Job übernehmen will? Na dann spielt ihr wohl in Unterbesetzung weiter. Pfiff, Spiel, Wechsel, Wechsel, Pfiff, weiter gehts – das Fristfußballturnier verspricht alle 30 Sekunden frischen Wind auf dem Platz, lasst euch das nicht entgehen!

Diskussionsveranstaltung mit Vertreter*innen der Fraktionen der Kasseler Stadtverordnetenversammlung, Hochschulleitung (angefragt), GEW (angefragt), ver.di (angefragt), Uni Kassel Unbefristet
Termin: Donnerstag, 13.6.19, 18-20 Uhr
Ort: Arnold-Bode-Str. 8, Raum 0113/0114 (Campus Holländischer Platz)
Hochschulpolitik wird jenseits der universitären Selbstverwaltung gewöhnlich als Landes- oder Bundesaufgabe gesehen. Aber erhält sie nicht auch eine kommunalpolitische Dimension, insbesondere mit Blick auf Beschäftigungsprobleme wie die Befristung von Arbeitsverträgen und die derzeit diskutierten Lösungsvorschläge? Wie stehen in der Kasseler Stadtverordnetenversammlung vertretene politische Parteien zum Befristungsproblem, das nicht nur bundes- und landesweit, sondern gerade auch auf Ebene der Universitäten selbst – und insbesondere in Kassel – ins Licht der städtischen Öffentlichkeit rückt? Welche Schlussfolgerungen ergeben sich daraus für die kommunalpolitische Agenda?
Die Veranstaltung gibt Raum zur Diskussion dieser Fragen und will damit gleichzeitig ein Forum zur Debatte schaffen, inwiefern gute Arbeitsbedingungen an unserer Universität erreicht werden können.

After the staff meetings in December 2018 and March 2019, the problem of limited contracts at our university is also recognized by the university administration. But how can it be solved?
With the ENTFRISTUNGSENTSCHEID in the context of the planned extraordinary staff meeting on 26.06.2019 we want to vote as employees on concrete measures for the comprehensive end of limited contracts in favor of permanent positions at the University of Kassel (the entire catalog of measures is accessible here as pdf).
Instead of an unconcrete, voluntary mission statement, we demand a binding regulation for the comprehensive end of limited contracts for the scientific, artistic and technical-administrative staff at the University of Kassel.

6.June, UU on the campus fest: A round of deadline football!
Of course, we also celebrate when the university calls to the campus fest, but in our own way. On the 6th of June we will hold a “deadline football” tournament from 4 to 5 pm between the Café desASta and the Campus Center. You are all cordially invited to prove yourself under the difficult conditions of the fierce competition in the field: You just came in and already you find yourself outside again, changing your position with the next person, waiting prepared on the line. Nobody there, who wants to take over the job at short notice? Well then you probably continue in understaffing. The football tournament promises every 30 seconds fresh wind on the court, do not miss this!
June 13: Discussion Event „Good work at the university – a topic for the city of Kassel?“

University politics is usually seen as a national or federal task beyond university self-government. But doesn’t it have a local political dimension, especially with regard to employment problems such as the limitation of employment contracts and the proposed solutions currently being discussed? What are the positions of political parties represented in the Kassel city council on the problem of fixed term contracts, which is emerging in the urban public not only on Länder- and national level but also at the university level itself – and especially in Kassel? What are the conclusions for the local policy agenda?
The event provides space for discussing these issues and at the same time wants to create a forum for discussing how good working conditions can be achieved at our university.
